1.Answer : 3. 40(5/8)%
Explanation
Let the marked price of goods = Rs.100/-
Selling price of goods = 100 x80/100 = Rs.80/-
Cost price of goods = 80 x 100/125= Rs.64/-
When a discount of 10% is allowed on the
Marked price of goods then selling price will be
=100 x 90 = Rs.90/-
Required profit percentage
90-64/64 * 100 = 26/64 * 100
= 325/8 = 40(5/8)%

Explanation
According to question,
A = 4B
C =3B
A: B=4:1
B: C =1:3
Ratio of work done by A, B and C in one day
=4:1:3
C’s 1 day’s work =3 unit
C’s 16 day’s work =3 x 16 = 48 unit
Time taken by A, B and C to complete the

3.Answer : 3. 15000
Explanation
Let Suhas’ salary =Rs. x
According to question,
X ×(15/100)×(11/15) = 1650
x = Rs.15, 000/-

4.Answer : 4. 120 kg.
Explanation
C.P. of rice = (25/125) ×100
=20 Rs. per kg.
S.P. – C.P. = Profit
(150×25+180×20×120% – x×90%×20) – [(150+180+x) ×20] = 1230
3750+4320-18x – [(330+x) ×20] = 1230
8070-18x – 6600-20x = 1230
-2x = 1230+6600-8070
2x = 240
X = 120 kg.
