SOLUTION:

1.Let length of platform = t meters
Length of train A and train B is 8x and 7x
respectively.
Speed of train A and train B is 3y and 2y
respectively.
∴(t+ 8𝑥/18)/(𝑡 + 7𝑥/24)
= 3y/2y
⇒ 𝑥 = 𝑡
Required percentage 𝑥/8𝑥× 100 = 12.5%

2. Let speed of boat in still water = x km/hr
And speed of current = y km/hr
ATQ,
x – y + x + y = 72
2x = 72
x = 36 km/hr

Given that,

On solving (1) and (2) => P = 46, Q = 96  Ratio of male person from HR department in company A to the male person from IT department in company

Average = (46 + 210 + 138 + 207) / 4 = 601/2 = 300.50
