SOLUTIONS:

Explanation- Total number of employees working in Delhi and Mumbai = 50% of 8000 = 4000
Total number of employees above the age of 50 in Delhi and Mumbai = 57% of 1500 = 855
Required number of employees = 4000 – 855 = 3145

Explanation- The number of employees working in Kolkata = 30% of 8000 = 2400
Number of employees above the age of 50 in Chennai = 18% of 1500 = 270
Required percentage = 270/2400 × 100 = 45/4 %

Explanation- Total number of employees in Delhi and Mumbai together = 50 % of 8000 = 4000
Number of employees in Jaipur = 75 % of 4000 = 3000
Number of employees below the age of 50 in Jaipur = 270 + 700% of 270 = 2160
Required number = 4000 – 2160 = 840

Explanation- Employees above the age of 50 before the shift in Mumbai = 37% of 1500 = 555
No of employees above the age of 50 added to office in Mumbai = 80% of 18% of 1500 = 216
Required no = 555 + 216 = 771

Explanation: The number of employees below the age of 50 before the shift in Delhi = 15% of 8000 – 20% of 1500 = 1200 – 300 = 900
The no of employees shifted to Delhi = 60% of 20% of 8000 = 960
Employees above the age of 50 who went to Delhi = 20% of 18% of 1500 = 54
Employees below the age of 50 who went to Delhi = 960 – 54 = 906
Required number = 960 + 906 = 1866
